Palo Santo is the aromatic wood from the tree Bursera Graveolens, which grows in South and Central America. It belongs to the same family as Frankincense, Myrrh and Copal.

Its ability to heal and cleanse was discovered by Spanish monks, who named the tree “Palo Santo” which means “Holy Wood”. It was used by shamans to cleanse energetically, attract positive energies, re-establish peace and balance and encourage the healing of the body, mind, emotions and spirit.

Our Palo Santo has been sustainably sourced from Ecuador and Peru

The wood has been sustainably harvested under licence. No trees are cut down and there is full traceability. Only the ‘dead’ wood from the forest floor is collected. The wood we buy is at the perfect point in its life cycle to be suitable for incense and smudging use. A portion of sales goes towards further reforestation

How to use Palo Santo:

Light one end of the stick and allow it to burn for 30 seconds. The stick will go out of its own accord within 2 minutes. Never leave burning sticks unattended or place in a heatproof bowl to cool down after use.
